My Top 7 Tips for building a course in a streamlined fashion.

First I think about helping just one person.

You know the more I work on my course the more I realize if I can just help 1 person change their lives I would be happy.

This realization has changed my initial strategy both in building the member area and the curriculum of the course. I started putting in modules on mindset, specific actions that get quick results and more…

…and the more I dig in the more valuable the course is becoming.

Here are my top 7 tips for building your course.

1. Define the one person you’re trying to help. The more specific the person is the more of use your course will become.

2. Focus on how you can best serve this one person. Mindmap what that looks like. I find having it on paper in front of me is much easier and faster to have a macro overview.

3. Simplify your macro overview into bullet points. When you are speaking/coaching on specific subjects that you inherently know it’s easy to create content.

4. Record video or audio for each bullet point. Ideally, you would have already organized each bullet point in a good learning pattern.

5. Send Audio or video to be transcribed. This will get all you’re ideas published in written format. This will allow you to publish content in a streamlined fashion, create workbooks/book or add quality course material.

6. Design covers. I found this to be tremendously helpful in realizing the course/product can actually materialize if you want it to. Looking at a tangible mock-up helps cement the idea or at least it does for me.

7. Figure out how to launch your idea and test as cheaply as possible. Realize most times you will need to optimize and tweak before you get it. Don’t give up. Instead, figure out the why and fix it.
